Rodeo Day at Respite Care of San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO - A local organization brought the rodeo to the kids in respite care. Most children at the San Antonio Respite Care Home on West French Place have special needs, so getting out to the rodeo would be a challenge for them. That's why Circle of Care brought in a rodeo clown, a petting zoo, and a pony to give them rides and cheer them up. "We do it for those faces. for those moments and their reactions and we want them to have those happy moments and you see their eyes light up as soon as they see these animals, and get to ride on the horses," said M.J. Luce of Circle of Care. Organizers said that positive hands-on programs really help children dealing with developmental delays.
